#22 Celica Update : Engine Enhancement

Hello readers, sorry for not updating and for some difficulties occured to my blog last couple of weeks. I'd like to change to .com rather than blogspot. So it would sound better and i can design my own stickers and distribute it around. Dont wait up, maybe it will take couple of months to do it.

Like usual, this topic is to show up my engine development, nothing much nothing serious, just some clean up for aesthetic purpose only.

I opted for this high temperature red wrinkle/coarse/sand alike paint. Which looks awesome!

Some new screws to replace the old one's

It looks a whole lot better already

Meanwhile i checked the ac pump . The catch is, if you can see a gear in there it means this engine originally supported with carburettor. But if there's nothing, it means this engine previously run on injection. However, my engine doesnt have anything so i assume the previous owner swapped to carb, thats why my car use a fuel pump rather than mechanical pump

Time to clean the engine with chemical, thinner , turpentine..etc

The whole process took me a couple of weekends, and this engine is really nasty! The thickness of the dirt was beyond my expectation

Anyway it worked out, so its time to paint the engine.

Forgot to snap the pics of the spray. Its is a high temperature engine enamel with ceramic. The ceramic can be feel by hands and it is better than a usual high temp spray.

There's no major process like overhaul or something, this engine is good enough since there's no leaking and no weird sounds. Its better to maintain it than rip it apart and rip apart my wallet too.

These are the screws i bought for the engine from Asia bolts & Nuts. All 100% stainless steel and recognised by ISO9001:2008 quality control. Some are allen keys which is used to really enhanced the looks of the engine.

Some installed

The engine mounting screws
