Me on Instagram and update
I have received many emails, text and private message on Facebook either for questions, tips and even ask me to update my blog
I am truly sorry for the lack of update. Im quite busy with lots of jobs at the moment. I enjoy blogging and sharing information and stuffs, but my schedule wouldnt allow me to.
Thanks to the advance technology we have today, and the magic of smartphones. I can and i have updated some of my project on my personal Instagram. Not a lot but there's something.
You can follow me on Instagram with username @chinoisedori
Also, will change my blog to 'the-sliders.com' soon. And this site will be revise as a more proper site and a platform to promote my new shop soon. Dont worry, its still automotive associated. Not a fancy dress shop or a toy shop.
Anyway. Enjoy your holidays (if you have any) and please stay tuned for more update. For those who is still working on their project. I wish you all best of luck and never give up on your project!

#4 Cefiro A31 wiring swap
It is decided.
Matte color on a big car never turn me down
My friend did a good job on this car. Color is even and the matte clear on this car is amazing!
I swapped the old tail lights with this facelift version, which is the original for this year.
As promised. After the paint i sent the car to the specialist
Which then threw out all my old wiring for a wiring loom from RB25DET series 2. Eventhough my engine is from R34 NEO. To get it running i need to get the whole set. That includes dash panels, sensors and lots of try and error
For this job i have requested to make the wiring runs original. Original means less headache and hassle for me. I just wanted the car running smooth without any trouble
And he has done a great job. I was exciting to hear the engine cranked up. He took me for a spin and it was fun! it runs without any problems and there's no spitting involve when boosting.
Job done in a week. Immediately after a short run the tires gave in
Its a suitable time to change the tires. As the old 255's at the back is way too wide for this car/
For now im running 225/50/17 at front and 235/50/17 at the back.
And it looks amazing. The wheels and tires are spot on. It needs some drop maybe an inch or two should be nice.
For this upcoming season. I have decided to NOT to tint the car, remain the super silent exhaust and number plates according to specs. This is due to the government is currently setting up roadblocks everywhere to give tickets to offenders. In other words they cant get enough of our money.
Until then, cheerios~
#3 Cefiro A31 new uniform
Ive bought the Nissan Cefiro in a hope that this will be my daily ride. The hope crushed as the wiring faults are beyond repairs. So i just left it unattended for 4 months and bike was my daily beater during that time.
So i contacted a friend of mine for specialist in RB series. He agreed to take in my car but in a month time. So i got the car up and running, only to brought it back to my house.
It was a majestic moment, it was a quite some time since i drove out this car
Got some budget for the car. Without hesitation i sent the car for a paint job since i had to wait for a month to get it repaired.
Car looks hideous! I hate the colour, i hate the bodykit. i hate everything aesthethic about this car
Removing all the trims and stuffs
Well it does looks better than before aint it
They had to peel off paint on some areas. Some tips: Cefiro's were sold in Malaysia from 1988-1994. The production between 1988-1991 was brought in by ap holder, the car quality and equipment were the same with japanese models, it was brought in as CBU unit. But between 1992-1994 Cefiro's were brought in by an authorized dealer of Nissan Malaysia (Tan Chong Motor) as CKD, the price was a bit cheaper. But the downside is the material for chassis wasnt entirely from Japan. That explains Cefiro's from 1992 and above had some issues on rust mainly on roof. Unfortunately for me, mine is from 1993 and THERE is a rust on the roof.
And fortunately i have fixed the roof. It should stay rust free for couple of years on.
I bought complete kits from Wonder to replace those ugly bumpers
And new bonnet damper since Cefiro has a bit of an issue on the stock one's
Primer for even paint surface later
THIS is how Cefiro should look like
Paint prep
Wanna guess the color? Stay on next post

Datsun 510 on event
I have entered some event with this car. I will post all bout it later.
This is from Retro Havoc 2014 the biggest classic show in south east asia
aww.. she looks cute
This is from Sepang International circuit.
Credits to those that took this pics! Thank you!
#2 : Datsun 510 MOT test
Couple of event has passed. Car didnt cause any trouble so far. Ive fitted front lips for better enhancement and thats about it
This time using 1.6 meters and different steering and column
Cleaned up the interior. Some double din and new gauges
Ive fitted ac since our weather is scorching hot. Its either the car or me is gonna overheat when heat strikes in
Since the roadtax is about to expired, its time for me to do Puspakom or MOT. It was a gamble to enter this place with this condition
For many people this is a call for suicide. A straight pipe and rusty car is not legal on the road.
Some tips: Car inspection here in Malaysia only include 4 major things.
1. Tinted
2.Chassis number
3.Engine number and
4.NO cuts and joints on chassis area. This includes rust areas.
So if your car meet this 4 requirements dont be afraid to get your car inspect. They dont care if you have straight pipe or a rollcage. As long you passed these 4 requirement feel free to enter this area.
But unfortunately for me. Ive only met 3 requirements, thus this is a call for a failure test.
A failure test means you cant get the car on the road and your car is as worth as a scrap car. To make things worst, car decided to play dead. Cant even start in the area as the battery was as good as dead. So they all have to push the car out of the area. That sound worse than it already is.
But being me, i had them cancel my inspection. So there is no problem for me to renew the roadtax every year.
Good news for me, i can fix the floorboards and maybe some tar to cover up the rust. Until then i can take the car for inspection again.
Anyway. They are all interested in this car.. not even ferraris can get them gathered around like this. Thats the reason i love old cars!

#1 : Datsun 510 injection project
Behind the reason of selling my beloved Datsun 510 the sliders. There is another great project and a better chassis for me to move on. I was tight on budget, but i was keen to own another piece of engineering that is recognize by car enthusiast around the world, the best all rounder in 70's. another Datsun 510 SSS.
This was a project/daily car of a good friend of mine. He owned it for 3 years. It was pretty much a gem in the rough, and its still is. He was in need of cash, and being a good friend of his.. and knowing the car is in pretty much good and running shape. I bought the car!
I sold the sliders with enough budget to get this off from my friend. Behind the purposely rusty panels, its actually a complete car. With some added aftermarket parts which i will elaborate later on.
I was happy! it runs like a train. Well it rides like a train too thanks to S13 adjustable front damper, Mitsubishi adjustables at the back and all round pu bushes from England.
Carrying that bit extra weight ive already encountered it for a bigger ratio at the back. Semi LSD with 4.5 is fun enough at traffic lights and corners. No its not from a Datsun but its from a Subaru Impreza WRX with slight mod to fit this car.
Ive always hated carbs probs.. which is overflow and rich fuel mixture. A friend of mine being a mechanic of his own opted me with a blacktop throttles. Custom intake, custom distributor (which is distributorless) individual coil plugs etc.
At this state we wasnt so sure if this setup will work. But we'll give it a shot first, there will always another carb waiting for us.lol
To control the ignition, fuel mixture and air. an engine management is needed. We were on schedule to finish it before a big event, so instead researching for a suitable ECU. We used stand alone from Haltech sprint 500 model.
Installing radiator and stuffs to get this car up and running
Interior is original Datsun 510 SSS 1.6 dash with Izumi steering
Start button, fuel pump switch, launch control included.
Side exit which is way too loud with this setup!
Dyno done! I didnt snap any pics on the dyno (sorry guys) but the car is running good. Idle at 1k rpm as the injector is below the manifold. Dyno chart showing positive reading on the engine.
Runs great. Fuel economy is good. The acceleration is as good as my Levin. Despite direct intake on the ITB's and straight flow exhaust piping the top speed archieve 170kmh at 5krpm
And when all hell break loose, comes a big stopping power. Front twin pot brake and knuckle from Mazda RX7 and S13 disc at the back.
Thanks to ProMax garage for this setup. We have tested for short and long distance and it is proven that this setup is suitable for this engine. We can provide injection setup for carbs engine. Soon will be sold as a set and more research on more varieties of engine. Feel free to contact me for more info.
Still carrying Datsun badge though
Aftermarket RPM, Apexi oil press and speedo from a car that i cant recall
Water temp, fuel level and voltage
Lots more after this
