This is my 2nd car. It is actually a donor car which i bought only for sparepart.

The exterior stuffs are mostly sold.

Which only left me with a bigger panel , interior. Oh and also a working engine and gearbox.

The only thing im keeping is the 68' grille. Which is quite nice. Nicer than ketam imho.

Unfortunately the dashboard is from Honda.

BAD 510 Project

This is a BAD 510 Project. Why BAD? Because the registration plate is BAD XXX.

I got this car in a wonderful shape and with a really really smooth engine.

Smoothest engine ive ever own so far

So first step is to strip the car

Install dished sport rims

510 Parts

Primer coat finished!

Time to strip the interior

Cleaned the whole interior and remove the door card wrap and use the original instead

Repaired the locking mechanism which is a normal fault on a 510

Looks good

Smooth and fuel saving engine

Removing the spacer

Removed!

And actually service the rear brake too

Time to install the rims

PART 1

BAD 510 project Pt.2

Datsun 510 doesnt need much to make it stand out from the crowd. The design itself took the car aside from the rest. All it need is a complete body parts, a good set of wheel and a decent height.

This car fulfill all the guidelines and it seems like it is screaming to the crowd when i drove it around town.

But of course, the tires were screeching like hell. And the exhaust scrapes the road constantly.

Even though the chassis scrapes the road whenever i drove onto uneven road surface

I felt the raw feeling of the car. The feeling of special and respect to old machine like this.

Which is the feeling i never felt before. Even on my blue 510. (Maybe because the engine is not original)

This is a 1973 Datsun 510 SSS

A complete original car with a L16 and twin su which in a really good shape

A car that i always adored. And loved to own.

And it is sold to a better owner with a passion to restore this car to its finest

I hope i can restore another 510 soon.
